For Maltese artist Prof. Vince Briffa, the experience of Zhejiang offered fresh perspectives and new sources of creative inspiration.

From 8 to 19 October 2026, Maltese artist Prof. Vince Briffa, recommended by China Cultural Centre in Malta, took part in Silk Road: Artists’ Rendezvous — Poetic Echoes of Civilization in Zhejiang, China, joining 24 artists from 13 other countries to explore the region’s cultural heritage, traditions and natural beauty.

From the legacy of ancient settlements to the cultural life surrounding Hangzhou’s iconic landmarks, the journey offered rich material for artistic exploration. The province’s abundant greenery and landscapes also left a strong impression on the Maltese artist.

Through initiatives like this, cultural exchange becomes more than an encounter between traditions — it creates opportunities for artists to learn from one another and build connections across borders.
